During the Jagex panel, the creative team presented some new images and information on their upcoming Transformers: Universe MMO. The images were mostly concept art pieces, showing locations within the game, including what would presumably be the Decepticon starting location inside Megatron’s layer, an Energon cavern and a battle scene taking place within the woods. Do you sometimes get confused by how to distinguish one is the Transformers Hall of Fame inductees and the Fan's Choice? Yeah, we do too. So today, Karl Hartman, one of the co-creators of the original BotCon over 18 years ago, has announced that the Fan's Choice Award will not be in his and his brother's namesake. "Aaron Archer...declared that the fan's choice award will now be called 'the Hartman Award', named for my brother Jon and my contributions to the Transformers fan community over the years," Mr. Hartman wrote in his Facebook page. "We are certainly very honored and humbled by this recognition" Read his full update after the jump, as well as Mr. Hartman and Mr. Archer posing at this year's BotCon.

Robotkingdom was at BotCon 2012 and brought along some display-only third party products, including upcoming TFC Toys' Power Core Combiners limbs Iron Army and Perfect Effect's PE-DX 01B RC (Not Arcee). These Iron Army guys, which are designed to connect to PCC Bombshock, comprise of the two sets: Set A German Tiger-I Tank and U.S. P-51 Mustang plan; and Set B Japanese J7 Shinden plane and Russian T-34 tank. We learned of the PE-DX 01 series way back in January of this year. These figures are currently pre-orderable from Robotkingdom and will release in May 2012. See the images and pre-order links in the full article.

One of the highlights of BotCon has always been the dealer room and this year is not any different. With fans and collectors alike running around the floor trying to hunt down that one toy that they have been looking for, this is the place to be. This year, we saw quite a lot of cool stuff, with Takara Tomy's Masterpiece MP-11 Starscream selling out at various dealers within an hour or so into the preview, shops with Transformers First Edition figures getting swamped, and more. Take a walk with us in the gallery in the full article!

During the Transformers Fall of Cybertron panel hosted by Activision, the guys revealed some information that is to come for their Transformers Fall of Cybertron and Transformers Prime video games. Matt "Tieg" Tieger provided some more details of the multiplayer customization, which will allow for "unpredecented ability to craft your own Transformer." Players will be able to build their own Transformer, including head, chest, arms, legs, and paint all pieces. Continue reading...

UPDATED: Added pics of Dead End's brand-new head mold, Cyberverse Ultra Magnus and Bot Shots! We are on our last full day here at BotCon 2012, and we returned to the cases to bring new and in-depth pictures of the Hasbro display case. Unfortunately last night, they kicked us out before they could display the San Diego Comic Con 2012 exclusive Transformers Generations Bruticus in Generation 1 colors, but we have them for you today. Just in from the Transformers BotCon 2012 is news from the Hall of Fame event in Dallas, Texas. It should be no surprise really that Wheeljack has been voted by the fans into the 2012 Transformers Hall of Fame in the 2012 nominations. We would like to congratulate Wheeljack on the distinction that is long overdue. It was also announced that Shockwave will be in Transformers Prime. At the end of his induction video during the Hall of Fame ceremony, a clip from the series was included where he was being introduced to the Autobots in the show (could this be the character David Kaye will be voicing in a "special" two-part arc?).
