Thanks to nemesispringer of TFW2005 for finding this new image of Optimus Maximus, the upcoming recolor of Combiner Wars Voyager Optimus Prime! Hosted on thetoyshop.com, it's slightly more of the painted image we've seen before, and significantly clearer: he's shown in his combined form, and his arms seem to be Sunstreaker and Mirage, both rumored from the "Masquerade" wave that appeared in retailer computers early this year. E-Hobby reports that they will be commemorating the release of Cloud Vol. 4 Hellwarp by collecting the Transformers Cloud web story into a 24-page comic for an upcoming giveaway! With art by Naoto Tsushima and story by Makoto Wakabayashi, it remains to be seen what form the book will take, as "comic" implies a certain combination of words and pictures and what has appeared online so far has been better described as a story with illustrations. But new content is promised either way, so that's to be looked forward to. Keep reading for the cover art and mechanically-translated announcement!

YouTuber chuckdawg1999 has posted a review of Wave 2 Stunticon Dead End! He likes the figure, citing it as his second- or third-favorite Stunticon - but he's not thrilled with the exhaust pipe weapon, which doesn't make that convincing of a gun. Keep reading to see!

Thanks to YouTuber Tinyironfist, we can now see the latest Japanese commercial for Transformers Adventure! The superiorly-named version of the new RID cartoon begins almost the same day as the US version, March 15th. The spot doesn't feature too much you haven't seen in the US promos, but it's worth noting that as with other recent releases they're sticking to using US names: Bumblebee as opposed to "Bumble," Decepticon as opposed to "Destron," etc. Keep reading to see!

Thanks to @GeneralTekno on Twitter for this one! The story is that artist Livio Ramondelli, responsible for the The Transformers side of the Combiner Wars crossover, has confirmed that Cyclonus will not be appearing, thus there will be no impetus to redesign or move the character from his More Than Meets The Eye appearance in order to have him conform to the Combiner Wars crossover. And frankly, that's a relief. We'll update this story if we get a more direct confirmation of this but for now, keep reading to see the tweet!
It sure looks that way. TFW2001 user scubaboy31 has posted an image from the back of the Combiner Wars Wave 2 pack-in comic which shows various behind-the-scenes images, and one of the illustrations looks very much like Stunticon newcomer Offroad with Ironhide's head. This has been the speculation for a good while now: that the Ironhide that turned up in retailers' computers would be remolded from Offroad to combine his movie, pickup truck self with his G1 design in much the same way as was done in Transformers Prime. In what we presume to be a limited-time offer, Google is offering the 2007 Transformers movie - probably the best of the four - for free through its Google Play store. The catch is that you have to register a payment method such as a credit card with them, so if a free digital copy of Transformers is your price for doing that, it's worth checking out! Since the reveal of the long-form bio notes included on the pack-in comics starting with Deluxe Wave 2, there's been more than a little curiosity of who was behind them. Written in-character as either Rung or Soundwave, the profiles feature an interesting and entertaining style that's caught a lot of attention. While we rarely get to find out just who's responsible for describing the characters on the packages, thanks to John Barber this writer's identity has been revealed. Keep reading to find out!
Toysrus.ca has updated with a preorder page for the recent boxset three pack of reissue G1 Insecticons. The Platinum Edition set has been seen in the US at K-Mart stores, as well as being available in Hasbro marketed locations in Asia. Toys R Us Canada lists these for shipping in April at a price of $109.99 CAD, or about $88 US. This sadly seems to indicate K-Mart was not far off SRP with their pricing. This is listed as a Toys R Us exclusive in Canada, and there's no indication whether locations in the US will stock these or if they are exclusive to K-Mart.
Play With This Too added a new reward which will kick in if it gets funded. A pair of tech drones who just happen to have the same colors as G1 Scorponok and Fortress Maximus. Read on for the details below.
